COVID-19 Update and Re-Opening

The BC Provincial Government has recently announced its Restart Plan, which includes a gradual re-opening of the economy.  While certain businesses such as ours were never officially ordered to close, we felt it prudent to temporarily shut our doors until such time as it was deemed safe for our guests and staff to return to Quest Reality Games. Effective May 29th, we will begin to take bookings once again.  As we have always said, our main priority is player safety, and we will be taking a cautious approach to our re-opening.  To keep everyone safe, we’re putting a new set of health and safety standards in place. As we prepare to re-open our doors, here are some of the answers to questions you may have.

Q:  How do I complete your waiver?

A:  Our waiver is available online.  Guests are asked to complete it in advance, in order to support our physical distancing efforts in our store, and to support our efforts for a contactless experience.  If you are unable to complete the waiver in advance online, you can complete it in our store prior to your game play by scanning a QR code with your own device.

Q:  How do I pay for my game play?

A:  To support our contactless experience and support our physical distancing efforts, we are now only accepting payment online, in advance of your game play.  We will not be accepting cash at this time.

Q:  What methods of payment are you accepting?

A:  We are currently accepting MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Visa Debit.

Q:  When should I arrive for my game play?

A:  Guests are asked to arrive no more than 15 minutes in advance of your game play.

Q:  What should I do when I arrive?

A:  To support our physical distancing efforts, our doors will be locked.  When you arrive, please call us at 250-800-1008 and notify us of your arrival.  One of our Game Masters will greet you at the door, and explain our safety protocols prior to opening the door.  When our waiting room is available, one of our Game Masters will open the door for you and guide you to our waiting room.

Q:  What measures are you taking to ensure safety of guests?

A:  We have modified our operations to maximize physical distancing efforts, including allowing only one group of players into our lobby and waiting room at one time.

We have allocated one set of doors for entry to our building and one set for exiting, to limit individual groups from coming into contact with one another.

Our Game Masters will be handling opening doors for guests to minimize contact.  We are providing free hand sanitizer for guests use at our front desk and in all of our game rooms.

We have modified our booking schedule to maximize physical distancing.

We have implemented a regular, frequent cleaning and sanitizing regime, including sanitizing our game rooms between each game play.

We have moved to contactless operations by taking payments online and completion of waivers online.

As always, all of our bookings are private, which means you will only be playing with your own group of friends and family.

Q:  What do I do with my possessions during the game play?

A:  We encourage guests NOT to bring valuables (including cell phones) with them.  Cell phones will NOT be permitted in the game rooms.  We will continue to provide free lockers.  Guest are encouraged to share lockers among their teammates to minimize contact, and to bring whatever valuables they can (e.g. jackets, purses, etc, but not cell phones) into the game rooms with them.

Q:  I have/had a birthday party booked, what do I do?

A:  We are not accepting bookings for birthday party packages at this time.  For those who have already paid a deposit, if you choose we will continue to hold your credit until such time as it is deemed safe to hold parties in our party room.  Alternatively, you can apply your credit towards a game play only.

In the meantime, while we wait to re-open, we are continuing to work on our newest escape game, Abduction!, and for those who aren’t quite ready to leave self-isolation, we’re also developing an online version of our Case-Solving Investigators game that will allow you to play and collaborate with friends and family from the safety and comfort of your own homes. Follow us on Facebook and Instragram for updates, and stay tuned to our blogs for more information in the weeks to come.

We would like to thank all of our loyal customers for the years of support. The past couple of months have been extraordinarily challenging.  And while we’re not yet out of the woods, we thank everyone who continues to support us.
